Transferring

Transferring is the movement of students from one institution to another with some level of coursework completed (coursework, grades or exams). Transfers include the movement of academic course credits from one college to another.

The Associate Degree for Transfer
The AS-T is an undergraduate degree that is fully transferable to CSU with junior standing and is no more than 60 semester units.  Many of the classes are the same as an AA except that  the AA- maximizes those classes that transfer to that 4 year college or university.

You can review the classes you need to fulfill the AS-T with a FTVM major here.

ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS:  Some community college and a four-year institution create agreements about which classes (and credits) will transfer (articulate) from the CC to a Four year.  The benefit to you is that, if school you want to transfer to has articulation agreements between their film/media program and our Film,Television and Media Arts department, you are ensured certain classes will be waived.

To find out if classes you've taken at GCC transfer to a particular four-year school you can use this website: assist.org
