CREDIT FOR ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) EXAMINATIONS

GCC recognizes the Advanced Placement (AP) Program of the College Entrance Examination Board. Students who have completed AP examinations with scores of 3 or higher may receive credit at GCC. Credit awarded through AP exams may be used to satisfy GCC's General Education requirements or Cal-GETC requirements. Course credit is granted for AP exams if the division concerned has determined that the material covered is comparable to a specific course offered within that division.

CREDIT FOR INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB) EXAMINATIONS
GCC recognizes the International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level (HL) Examinations. Students who have completed IB HL examinations with scores of 5 or higher (unless noted otherwise) may receive credit at GCC as indicated in the tables below. Credit awarded through IB exams may be used to satisfy GCC's General Education requirements or Cal-GETC requirements. Course credit is granted for IB exams if the division concerned has determined that the material covered is comparable to a specific course offered within that division.

CREDIT FOR COLLEGE-LEVEL EXAMINATION PROGRAM (CLEP)

GCC recognizes the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) of the College Entrance Examination Board. Students who have completed CLEP examinations with scores of 50 or higher (unless noted otherwise) may receive credit at GCC as indicated in the tables below. Credit awarded through CLEP exams may be used to satisfy GCC's General Education requirements, but cannot be applied toward Cal-GETC requirements. Course credit is not granted for CLEP exams.
