Intermediate ESL: Academic and Career Preparation (ND)

This certificate is designed to prepare nonnative English speakers to succeed in various academic and career pathways. Students completing this certificate will have achieved academic English skills at a high‐intermediate level as well as taken foundational coursework in student development. Students must complete all required courses for a minimum of 16 units. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to use English reading, writing, and speaking skills at an advanced level of proficiency; apply academic skills required to succeed in college; and choose a potential career pathway.

This certificate does not satisfy the major requirements for the Associate in Science degree.
