DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

At the Armenian Relief Society of Western USA, Inc., Fellows assist with client intake and support the Social Services Intake Coordinator and Case Managers in delivering essential services. They also work with the Director of Social Services and the Controller to help streamline operations and improve service delivery to clients and the community. Additionally, Fellows have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops and assist with adult ESL classes, gaining hands-on experience in community-based social service programs.

DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

Working with people experiencing homeless & challenges with finding housing. Sorting files, organizing, assisting supervisors with lunch service to clients, researching & organizing supply closet used to provide emergency shelter clients with clothes, shoes, and a wide range of hygiene supplies, diapers, & feminine products.

DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

Pantry: sorting & putting away donated groceries, preparing grocery orders for low income households, helping donors as they drop off donations, cleaning, etc.
Client Services: greeting clients, registering new clients and renewing existing clients.

DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

Providing food and hygiene through pantry. Conducting CalFresh Outreach. Supporting the CalFresh Employment & Training Program participants. Administrative responsibilities related to food insecurity.
Duties are divided between Verdugo and Garfield Campuses. 

DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

The supervisors will assign Fellows duties relating to food insecurity, such as unloading food from a vehicle, stocking shelves while checking expiration dates, distributing food to people who visit the designated donation site, and receiving food from stores that donate. Fellows will be instructed on how to carry out the tasks listed above, and help facilitate the operations of the Food Bank.

DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

Fellows placed at LA Regional Food Bank will participate in variety of projects and tasks impacting our ability to distribute food to families & individuals facing food insecurity in LA County. Tasks include sorting, labeling, weighing, & packaging food items. Also assisting in leading and training new and existing volunteers working with LA Regional Food Bank.

DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

Working at Drop-In Access Center which works with people experiencing homeless. Variety of tasks such as serving food, clothing distribution, working the mail station, giving out hygiene kits, set up & clean up, data collection, & other special projects related to our drop in program such as donation sorting or file management.

 DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

(Food Pantry)
Assist with sorting, bagging, & distribution of donated food. Organization, leading & unloading supplies, set up & clean up, maintenance of pantry, tables, storage, refrigerator& freezer areas. Assist in preparing, packing, serving & handling of food/meals. Support social services staff to ensure quality services for families and clients. Willing to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.

(Mobile Showers)
Greet mobile shower participants, see them enter showers in proper order enrolled & provide sign-in forms ensuring demographic info is collected. Load, unload, store program supplies and equipments & keep records of tasks. Provide toiletries number cars/tickets & ensure clients follow allotted time for shower. Clean & prepare showers. Assist with laundry services, preparation & packaging of meals for the feeding program. Clean and sanities kitchen, food storage areas plus the dishes and equipments. Maintain good working relations with Salvation Army staff, volunteers, & visitors, and others.

DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

Fellows will be working with a site supervisor who will give them tasks such as unloading food donations from vehicle, putting donated items on shelves and checking expiration dates, distributing food to people who visit the church, receiving food from stores who donate.
Fellows will be trained to perform all of the taks above.

DESCRIPTION of DUTIES:

Union Station Homeless Services provides support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness by offering shelter, meals, housing assistance, and case management. Duties typically include helping with meal service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting clients with basic needs, and connecting them to resources such as job training, mental health services, and permanent housing solutions.
