Yes! In addition to picking up skills that can be highlighted on your résumé and transfer application, you will get a stipend. If accepted to the Team Internship Program, you will be paid a stipend of up to $250 for your participation in the entire 12-week program. Your stipend will be calculated based on degree of participation. If you complete all assignments, the maximum stipend possible is $250.
You are required to fully participate in all class sessions and assignments. You cannot arrive late or leave early. If for any unforeseen circumstance you must miss one of the weekly meetings, your stipend will be reduced accordingly.
Employment Status: Since this is not a job, you will not be hired as a student worker employed by the college. Instead, you will receive a check upon completion of the program (please allow up to four weeks for processing).
Financial Aid: If you have questions about any potential effect of income from internship participation on your financial aid package, please consult the Financial Aid Office.
Past due accounts: Please note that if you have outstanding debt to the college, you will not receive a stipend payment. Rather, the amount of your stipend will be applied toward your debt until your debt is fully paid.
